Chapter 1: Virtue Arcana Empty
PostSubject: Chapter 1: Virtue Arcana   Chapter 1: Virtue Arcana Icon_minitime1Sun Feb 15, 2015 4:31 pm

Antyx

Strolling down the obsidian hallway, the torches casted their radiance ahead of me, bringing the entrance into view. Gowned in my red and black jacket and my dark skinny jean, I pressed my hand against the dark oak doors leading to the chamber my target has turned into hers. The endless rows of books and documents, were the first objects I saw after my kidnapping a year prior. From within the doorway, the library gave no signs of ending, sprawling with bookcases, mosaic windows, and study cubicles. Situated in the middle of the room was the source of the library’s tranquility. A twenty foot solid marble fountain, depicting seven different sources of water splitting from the top and cascading down different paths before reuniting in the pool at the base.

Chapter 1: Virtue Arcana 2cp5hyu

“Diligite” I spoke out across the pond and within seconds a portion of the fountain rose out of the ground, revealing a steel staircase. Once inside, the doorway readjusted itself to its prior position and fluorescent lights tripped on. Descending underground, I reached a door with a built in retina scanner as well as a palm reader. Cold to the touch, the lights quickly flickered green and the mechanisms in the door begun to rattle.

“Welcome to Headquarters, Antyx.” A man’s voice sounded when I set foot through the arch. As big as a lunchroom, our hideout housed everything that we required to survive this prison. On the right side of the metallic room was a living area containing a couch and television, a kitchen and sitting area, and seven doors leading to the various rooms of our members. The left side of the room is where all the action took place. A fully stocked gym, a small armory of various weapons, and a wall covered in countless monitor were at our disposal. Situated in a leather chair behind the monitors was the empress of the library: Hyperia. Tapping away on one of her five keyboards, she didn’t bat an eyelash upon my entrance. News casters describing the daily occurrences, live feeds from the school’s security system, and even the team’s information displayed across all the screens.

“What could you possibly be tinkering with today my darling?” I reached around the chair and closed my arms under her chest. “I do hope it involves my upgrade. My wrists have felt naked all day. Unless I'm lacking more clothes,  I'd rather have my foci back." She stopped mid keystroke and picked up a fuchsia remote control. There were seven buttons, each with a different symbol representing one of the virtues. Pressing a pink button in the middle, two wires shot out and wrapped around my waist. My arms uncoiled and I was thrown back onto the leather couch.

"A little over the top you think? Simply asking to let go would have worked as well." Smirking I watched her hips sway back and forth as she walked towards her work bench.

"You know there is a 97.06% chance that you would ignore my request and continued your attempt to touch my breast. As far as your bracelets, I gave them a slight modification that will provide you protection while you fulfill your purpose." The voice coming from her possessed both a calm yet icy nature.

Tossing my two carbon nano-fiber bracelets, I caught them and sensed the modifications instantly. They still held a spool like structure, the red nano-tube wrapping around each. However there was something different about them, I just couldn't place my finger on it. I slipped them back on my wrist and the void was filled.

"To prevent corrupting your foci or the connection between you, I simply programed an add-on using some of my magick. Clasp them together in a defensive stance." Following her instructions, the fibers unraveled and formed a woven shield. “For your own benefit, the nano-fiber constructing the shield are from the bottom of the spools, allowing you to maintain your bond to the others while the shield is activated.”

“O I do quite enjoy this,” She just continued turning me on more. Nothing is more arousing than a partner that possess knowledge and can accurately wield it in any situation. “My offer from when we first met still stands you know.”

“I’m not engaging you in any sexual acts. Now go practice with your foci so your value doesn’t diminish.” Turning back to her child, she begun to type away.

“Such an Ice Queen.” I mumbled under my breath as I begun getting acquainted with this new add-on.

Chapter 1: Virtue Arcana Xev_an10

I padded after Iounna silently, watching her pristine tail swish back and forth, beckoning me to strike.
With lightning speed I swatted at her tail with my paw and meowed callously in triumph.
Iounna sat on her haunches and eyed me dubiously.
She licked her paw meticulously.
You are a regal feline Vex, stop acting like a pup.
I purred and leaned back before springing forward with my powerful legs and pounced on her knocking her over before I nuzzled her tummy.
She meowed happily in spite of her previous statement and I placed a paw on her smugly.
Who's the pup now?
Tummy rubs are a sacred tradition among cats. She countered.
"Vexxy, I've brought you a gift."
His voice was like honeyed liquor, dark and sweet, thick, rich.
We liked this human.
I bounded towards him and he caught me in his hands to hold me to his firm chest.
He was quite the specimen, definitely the body of an apex predator.
And the mind of one.
A silver chain slipped around my neck. A Celtic cross hung from it and a sapphire matching Iounna's eyes glistened at its center.
"It will protect you."
I flashed him my claws to say, Who needs protection?
"Are you ready for your journey Vex?"
I meowed my consent.

PostSubject: Re: Chapter 1: Virtue Arcana   Chapter 1: Virtue Arcana Icon_minitime1Mon Feb 16, 2015 11:18 pm

Hyperia

Proceeding to add the finishing touches to my script, I crossed off another one of my projects from my mental list. Gazing to my left, I spotted Antyx manipulating his nano-tubes through the different weight lifting machines while periodically clashing his wrist together to manifest the woven shield. His foci are quiet impressive, utilizing mobility and fiber sixteen times stronger than steel. His support capabilities excel beyond that of any other mages at this academy. The modifications I provided were just a simple algorithm woven by magick, calling for the cords to function from both ends. One of the first lessons you learn as a mage involves manifesting your aura and mana into various shapes and patterns. Forming the shield was his own doing, I simply provided the means.

“When are the others going to stop by for a visit?”
My comrade’s words echoed from the training room, breaking my concentration yet again.

“If you would like, I have tracers on every member. Calculating their distance, rate of travel, and some factors that would delay them, in a matter of minutes I could obtain a time frame, give or take five minutes.” Hopefully he would deny my request, I don’t want any more files cluttering my internal motherboard.

“Hmmm, tempting offer but I’m sure you have more scripts to write or toys to build.” Antyx has grown close to me ever since he stumbled upon my study room a year ago. Since that moment, his data has attached himself to my programming, forming a sibling bond. However, that’s as far as the code runs. Any sign of a sexual pursuit, and a built in command shuts down the advances. I couldn’t help but smile at his compassion for the work I do though, as well as my being.

Chapter 1: Virtue Arcana 2hobdwk

Turning to my workbench, I manipulated the components to assemble into another one of my palm sized beetle drones. This was number thirty five. Sprouting six mechanical legs, it crawled over to the edge of the table, leapt on to my shoulder and crawled down to my waist line. My new toy, along with the other beetles, synchronized with each other and formed a futuristic like belt around my waistline. Raising from my chair, I realized just how light weight I designed them. “I’m glad I took the opportunity to replace the shell with graphene instead of going pure steel. Both light weight and the strongest substance in the mortal world, you are all ready for action.”

“You really do love your new gadgets.” Antyx walked into the main room, heading towards the kitchen.

“Just be prepared when you witness them during our team’s field test. You will be able to experience first hand the wonders of these little drones.” Linking my virtue remote to the newly formed belt, I relaxed back into my computer throne. “I wonder how many more projects I can complete by the time anyone else arrives.” Glancing at the computer’s built-in clock, “Probably five more and then we will have all assembled.”

PostSubject: Re: Chapter 1: Virtue Arcana   Chapter 1: Virtue Arcana Icon_minitime1Tue Feb 17, 2015 8:51 pm

I slowly made my way to the bottomless library I had come to call it. I swear if it wasn’t for our tech savy Hyperia loving it here, I would have asked for us to move it somewhere else. Ugh, I had just finished my correctional requirement in the nurse’s office for the day. Since I got here they have me helping out the nurse, saying that I should take it upon myself to help the injured since I have probably put so many in hospital beds. It’s a drag but whatever, if it will get me out of here sooner the better; the torches illuminated the hall way bringing me to the entrance of the library. My knuckles were itching to be used, annoyed that I didn’t run into any of the Mercy students on my way here, I punched the wall next to the door before walking in. I passed by endless amounts of books, reading was never my thing I couldn’t get anything from a book by punching it. Coming up to the marble fountain which was way too big, I spoke aloud “Heimdallr” the fountain opened up to reveal our secret passage. “And welcome to the bat cave Mr.Wayne.” I said sarcastically.

I made my way down the passage to the retinal and palm scanner, scanning in I was greeted by the sound of moving mechanical parts, and flashing greens lights “Welcome to Headquarters Clovis.”

“Yeah, whatever.” I walked in and noticed Antyx in the kitchen fixing himself up something to eat he was always good for a laugh, but if he spent more time practicing and less time trying to get in everyone’s pants he would be a much better asset to the team. Passing by him I waved a hand and continued on to see our songstress of technology. “What’s up Hyperia, what we got for today?”

Roy

It was getting to be that time of day again, ugh to think I agreed to meet every day in that accursed library, they could at least add furniture that complimented the area I swear whoever picked out the furniture for this place could use a lesson or two. Getting up from my throne in the courtyard I walked down the steps and started my journey to the library, my throne used to be a statue of someone sitting in chair but I believed it to be more fitting to be my throne so I remodeled it and had some other students fix it up for me so that I could sit comfortably in it. “Squires, someone bring me my axe!” I demanded as I walked. Almost immediately a student ran up to me and handed me my axe it was a perfect copy of the axe I attacked the Head of Humility studies Garrick with the day he brought me here, obviously reinforced with magic so it wouldn’t break as easily. “Thank you.” Turning to the student I swung at him, he brought up a shield but he faltered and his shield broke under the force of my strength and a gash formed down his arm. He fell to the floor screaming, “Someone take this good for nothing to the nurse’s office!” I ordered as I entered the library, spinning my axe to keep myself entertain I came upon the fountain; putting my foot on the marble rim I let my voice boom through the empty library “Caesar!”

The secret passage opened up and I made my way down into headquarters, scanning my retina and palm the doors opened up “Welcome to Headquarters King Roy.”

Waltzing in I looked right at Hyperia “Hey Hyperia I thought I told you to change it to make it say High King Roy, also is my shield ready or do I have to do that for you too?” Looking around I saw Antyx in the kitchen and Clovis sitting down behind the mechanical princess. “Well if it isn’t the nurse’s assistant, you ready to go a couple more rounds?”

PostSubject: Re: Chapter 1: Virtue Arcana   Chapter 1: Virtue Arcana Icon_minitime1Wed Feb 18, 2015 11:53 am

It was rough at first I think I killed four or five students when I first got here. They might be mages but they die just as easily. They said "my knife is the source of my deadliness" no shit how else am I gonna kill people, whatever. They also say all the lives I have taken can be given, that my knife stores the life force taken when I injure or kill people and can be given to others but never to myself, although I could injure my self and give it to others except I can't see why I would do that. They also say my knife has unique qualities and with training it could drain a persons life force instantly or restore someones instantly if my knife has stored enough life force. Either way most people I met here have been assholes telling me I can't go around killing even though I have the power to. Anyway I suppose there are a group of tolerable assholes here. Anyway speak of the devils and they shall appear I just arrived at their secret lair, if I had one of these I would never have been caught. "Open up please." Welcome back Nile said the robot "Thank you computer" I said with my signature smile. I walked down noticed most of them were there and with my usual up beat tone "So who do I get to kill today."

Chapter 1: Virtue Arcana Empty
PostSubject: The gang   Chapter 1: Virtue Arcana Icon_minitime1Wed Feb 18, 2015 4:32 pm

Iounna I want to be the black twin today. I nudged her with my chocolate nose.
Rejected
I continued to mew sadly,
Stalking into a secret lair and going on a covert mission, I should be in ninja cat mode.
My mews became more distressed.
She laid her head on her paws.
I give up.
Yay! A simple weave of magick and our coats swapped colors.
Now to be serious Iounna, you always care so much about fashion.
She rolled her eyes.
I eyed the secret door and remembered it required a password.
Tranquillumque
No response.
Tranquillumque
No response.
I scratched at the door.
Iounna laid down and sighed.
You do realize you're just meowing and pawing at a human voice activated door...
Alerion stepped forward and said clearly, "Patientia."
And with that I was bounding down the steps into the lair.
Clovis and Roy were sizing each other up again, two alpha males rearing with instinct.
And they said I was the animal.
I hopped up on to the counter beside the two men and projected an illusion of the word
Feed me. Above my head as my eyes widened and I gave them the most innocent look I could muster.
Iounna gave me a cold stare.
Using the magicks I taught you to beg...
I ignored her, food was abundant here in this world, so it was only logical I take advantage of it.
Iounna wove an illusion of a fat cat over me.
She covered her mouth with her paw, Oh my...
Chapter 1: Virtue Arcana Fat_ca10
That bitch...
My body is completely perfect.
I dispelled her image before I stretched and purred softly in anticipation of the pets.
If humans were good for one thing, it was the pets, oh the pets.
Mreow~

Alerion

I raised a barrier between Clovis and Roy reflexively.

"Get a room you two," I said offhandedly as I studied Hyperia's gadgets.

The mission was simple, I had Hyperia working on crafting surveillance equipment that Vex could carry in undetected via her transmogrification ability.
No one could best Vex when it came to stealth, she was an important weapon in my arsenal, as were the others, as irritating and self entitled though they may all be.
All was necessary for the plan.

"Hyperia, is the tech ready?"

Hyperia

Upon the other’s arrival, I was caught off guard and pulled up a map on the monitor to my far right. It was currently showing five markers in this location, but there should be one more. Cross referencing who is here, I noticed Vex was supposedly in the downtown section of the nearby village. Turning to her, “If it was anyone else, I’d assume an imposter. However, not even a robotic replica I program could mimic you. Did you find my tracer?” Everyone was transmitting the longitude and latitude back to my system, even myself. Sighing, I took my remote and pressed the white button representing Temperance. Instantly a red containment unit emerged from the floor in front of Vex. Quickly scanning her, the case opened up and a nylon suit started to inflate. Stepping out of the container, the robot’s functions began to activate.

“Hello Vexylle, I am your personal vassal. Could I interest you in a meal?” Without waiting for a response, he produced two plates of fresh salmon and tuna. “If I have satisfied you, please purr for three consecutive seconds.” I knew she would have a blast with her own toy.

“Alerion, I completed the components you require for the mission a few days back. Sometimes I believe you need to reboot your system, so you could function at a moderate pace.” Grabbing from my workbench drawer and tossing them over to him, a small silk pouch containing the surveillance drones he requires. “Inside the pouch are seven different stars, each the dimensions of a marble. The stars posses ten points that are each mounted with a camera, that way we obtain ten viewpoints from a single star. They run by absorbing magic, converting the energy to electricity, powering each unit. So the potent amount at the target location should be enough to last them for sometime. Incase of any serious issues, I have a built-in kill code that will activate the implosion protocol. I'm sure that will suffice for your purpose. "

Addressing my team member that had entered proceeding Antyx "We will be continuing with our plan Clovis, progressing it to the next stage." Facing the other member,  I massaged the bridge of my nose. He possessed the capability of disrupting my train of thought, one of my greatest pet peeves. If Alerion hadn't interfered, I'd have to use my remote again."Roy,  if I have to restate myself again, you aren't going to ever get your shield back. Now you will drop the title and accept your name or my droids will hide your focus where you aren't able to go." the edge in my voice sharpened on the last part.

Pressing a sequence of keys, a cabinet in the armor opened up, revealing Roy's shield. The catch: a laser grid designed by Dr. Wasabi was separating it from the rest of the room. "Your shield was a bit trickier than Antyx's bracelets but I did manage to do some slight modifications. For one, I mounted aura sensors, one on each face of the shield. They will detect foreign auras and vibrate the shield to gain your attention. Clearly the stronger the vibrations, the closer they are. As well, the stronger resonance will come from the direction of the aura, allowing you to hide behind the shield and still face the proper direction. The other function requires this chain bracelet.  If your shield is knocked away or forcibly taken, you can recall it to you by channeling aura into the chain. " Passing him the men's accessory, I headed to the kitchen to retrieve the bag labeled "Hyperia's Snacks". Cookies.

Roy

Chapter 1: Virtue Arcana Mrykmf10

“Well Miss Fearless Leader if I must ask politely I will do so only because we are currently in your domain, may I please have my shield back so we can began today’s undertakings?” Having to ask her to give me my shield was infuriating, for me to have to lower myself to ask someone else for something that is mine was simply preposterous. But if there was something I respected it was obeying the rules of the lord of the domain. I walked over to the grid of lasers and looked over my shoulder at Clovis “You here that Clovis, looks like I will have the upper hand in our next sparring match.” Clovis and I have sparred off countless times, both of us trying to prove that we were better than the other, it was nice having a rival to push yourself, it will do Clovis some good seeing as he always has room for improvement. He makes it look so easy using so many different weapons every time we fight I guess that’s what you get for training in martial arts your whole life, but his favorite weapon by far have been those annoying claws of his. He won’t be able to take may shield away now though thanks to this new chain Hyperia made for my shield, We will see how well he fares against me and my improved shield after whatever is in store for us today.

Clovis

Chapter 1: Virtue Arcana Kevin10

Upper hand my ass he was way too slow to beat me, but with that improvement his blocking will be slightly faster, I had him beat every time we sparred but he just wouldn’t stay down he would keep getting up and up again. Our matches lasted forever till both of us decided that it was it for the day and went our separate ways. He was such an prideful idiot, standing up out of my chair I put my hand on Vexylle’s head petting her, before turning around and walking into the armory opening my locker. I took off my jacket and shirt and put on my fighting hoodie, I wore it every time I had gotten into a fight it has been with me through some pretty bloody brawls, and I wasn’t about to leave it behind now. Slipping on the hoodie I walked over to my personal weapon rack and grabbed my claws, a quiver of arrows, a bow, and a spear, holstering my equipment I turned toward Alerion “Alright let’s get this thing started, I have a match after this and I don’t want to keep ‘King’ Roy waiting. Hyperia thanks for keeping my gear in check.”  I flashed a smile at her if there was something worth respecting it was the effort she put into all of her work and I guess that’s why she is the leader of our group of misfits.

Chapter 1: Virtue Arcana Empty
PostSubject: Sorrow   Chapter 1: Virtue Arcana Icon_minitime1Thu Feb 19, 2015 11:31 pm

I blinked slowly, the letters above me splintering off into fragments of light like sand blown about in the wind.
I was completely ignored.
Crestfallen I padded over to Iounna and nuzzled my face into her warm fur as she curled a tail around me.
Alerion will surely shower us with praise and all the salmon we can eat when we return victorious, for now it is time for business.
I envisioned my human form and allowed the wild magicks that surrounded me to disperse as the world shifted vantage. It was like stepping through a door from one world to the next, or like turning the light off in the room as my senses closed down to the inferiority of a human's.
I went to the armory and drew forth my dual chakrams from where I'd stowed them.
Alerion insisted we run these drills weekly even though they were completely unnecessary to me.
My magick was much more powerful now that it wasn't mostly being channeled to maintain my cat form and I stretched trying to readjust myself to my new form.
I heard a cough and got a few looks in my direction.
Iounna put a paw over her eye, Vexxy you're naked.
Ugh why did I ever put up with the constraints of clothing what was so damned secretive that required us to wear those awful things.
I spun a swift illusion of garments over my bare skin to satisfy the mundane appetites of those around and then curtsied in front of Hyperia.

Chapter 1: Virtue Arcana Kitty_10
"Do you like it?"

She always had the best clothes and she had showed me before a device called a dress sphere that allowed her to swap outfits at will. Maybe one of these days I'd ask her to let me borrow one, I mean- If i was going to do something wrong like wear clothes I may as well do it the right way.
"Oh and Roy? Try to put up a little bit of a fight this time," I flashed him a fanged grin.
I'd let Clovis handle the new guy with the killing fetish.

Antyx

“Well I’m glad that you get all the attention Hyperia!” turning to my comrades who just arrived, “Hello my...mostly captivating companions. Please refrain from swarming over my darling as she has been quite busy taking care of all of you.” Walking towards the rest of the group, cup of green tea in hand, I gave everyone a quick look over. The girls were absolutely phenomenal specimen. If I didn’t know the outcome so well, I would be attempting to ravish them where they stood. The guys were decent looking, not as handsome as myself, but better than most of the student body. Regardless, there wasn’t one member on the team that I wouldn’t bring to my room. Pivoting my head between Clovis and Roy, it was decided, Clovis beat Roy in the looks department.  Surely that information would infuriate Roy, causing him to become even more unstable.

Taking a sip of tea, I stepped towards the battle that was about to ensue. I knew the moment the battle contained Vex, it was going to end in her favor. She simply embodied all the characteristics that a women should: strong, independent, and capable of utilizing knowledge like Hyperia. Vexylle had a leg up on Hyperia in one department, the warm and gentle art of cuddling. Hyp always comes off too cold and distant, not qualities worth having with the prospect of cuddling on the mind. Wait? Was I seriously thinking this? This love virtue continuously messes with my mind, starting the second I arrived here. Coming back to my senses, I realized the battle would be starting soon. Willing my aura into the nano-tubes, I connected one to both competitors.

“Feel free to go at it as much as you’d like, you two. I will call the match when someone reaches 25% health and declare the winner. And for whoever wants some alone time this evening, I’ll even heal you back to full health.” Looking at Vex and winking, “However, I will gladly spend anytime with you, especially curled up on my lap.”

"So I get to fight Clovis, sounds kinda fun, you can take a hit so at least there will be some blood." With that I drew my Murder Knife and started twirling it in anticipation, Clovis is pretty strong but I am nimble and my blade cuts right through magical barriers thanks to its draining qualities. So I only need to land a few good hits before he starts feeling exhausted and once that happens I can really let loose. It is safe to say a prolonged battle against me is a death sentence.

Hyperia

“Time to commence with our daily battle session.” Placing my snacks bag back into the cabinet, I faced the team members preparing to participate in one on one combat. Antyx has grown accustomed to being the judge and medic for the matches, one of the few jobs he could successfully complete. This meant that I would have the opportunity to assess him firsthand, the prospect was too good. “Alright everyone, it appears as the matches today will follow like so:

Vexylle vs. Roy
Clovis vs. Nile
And Alerion vs. Myself.

Let us try to maintain the destruction but remember, Antyx will be monitoring everyone’s vitals. This is permission to put all your effort into the duel, just like normal, no holding back.”

With that I walked towards the door, but before I exited through the metal arch, I said “Computer. Run program GEBHDS9.” The lasers preventing Roy from reuniting with his foci fell, granting him access to the newly modified shield. “Everyone report to the courtyard and be prepared for combat. Alerion and Vexylle with me, the arena needs to be set up before we can commence.”

Exiting the hideout, I found myself back in the library. Like a typical day here, there were no students to be found. Libraries have become obsolete even to those who dive into their literary finds. To get to the courtyard I was forced to leave my prison, that was a benefit to these training exercises, another chance for me to get reacquainted with the real world. On the other hand, the second I step through those oak doors, my timer started and my magick became limited. Normally I would take better precautions before traversing into the world of mundane students, but Antyx would be meeting up with us soon, providing me with more of a reassurance. Leading the way, the time I have spent here allowed me to know the quickest routes to any room or area, allowing me to be in the courtyard in mere moments.

The courtyard acted more like a plaza here: small areas to relax, a water fountain for tranquility, and a metric ton of foliage. Now what would we do today? “I’m thinking either a city layout or a dense forest. Any other suggestions?”

“Me, take a hit yeah as if Nile, you can try all you want, and if you want I will even humor you for the first couple minutes.” This guy, I swear, I followed Hyperia and the others to the court yard, raising my hand I offered my opinion on Hyperia’s question “I vote for dense forest, last time we did an open field it only makes sense we do somewhere with a lot of cover this time don’t you think so Alerion?” Turning my head to our master strategist to think he was here as long as me, and I still know close to nothing about him, what a mysterious guy. Taking my spear from my back, sitting down cross-legged, and placing it across my thighs, I waited calmly for my battlefield to materialize. Closing my eyes I began to changing my breathing pattern so as to ready my body for the simulation.

Alerion

So Hyperia suggested forest and Clovis was game for it too. Forest terrain did give Vex and I the upper hand.
"Done."
I held my watch at chest level and focused my energy into the focus.
"Attunement Engage."
All at once the atmosphere around me transformed from atmosphere to an extension of me as my aura flowed like artificial ley lines through the earth and air.
An aura imprint of a chess board appeared above the watch a perfect match to that within the glass and all at once everything was mine to do as I saw fit.
I began creating a series of barriers, countless row upon row with flat tops like a plateau to resemble trees and to add flavor I created two large barriers that stretched towards the sky and placed several circular platforms hovering in the air around them for a makeshift sky arena.
"Vex you're up."

Vexxy

The air above my hands blurred as I begun to weave illusory magick over the group's senses. Alerion had covered far too much ground for me to place an illusion over the area, so I instead targeted the optic receptors of those around me, creating a vast forest.
My eyes glanced to Alerion who hadn't even broken a sweat. I had no idea what the secret was to his seemingly endless supply of energy but there was a reason he was referred to as the Phantom Lord. I would not fail to impress him.
I juggled my chakrams effortlessly with the dexterity admired of the cat before cloaking myself and then dashing forward to sit on Roy's shoulders.
"Ready to take meow on?"

“Ready to take you on, I am ready to take anyone on you know that Vexy, let’s go I don’t want to get in the way of Clovis’s fight with McStabby.” She barely weighed anything in cat form, even though she was on my shoulder it felt like maybe someone had put their hand there not a whole human in cat form. I started to walk forward with my opponent on my shoulder. “So when I decide the area is good for our match I will stop.” This was going to be a hard match she is fast, and her illusions have always bothered the shit out of me how am I supposed to know which one is the real her, I have a feeling this fight is going to give me one hell of a headache, but since I have my shield back might as well polish it. I pulled out my handkerchief and began polishing my shield, I don’t really know why I picked it normally I didn’t feel the need for a shield before I came here but there was something about the shield that made me feel safe and prior to that I only felt safe because of my own strength, there was something about this shield something that I could respect.

Vexylle

I sat quietly, swaying back and forth as Roy carried me along. His back and shoulders were muscular and firm against my thighs. His hair looked soft and fine, different than any cat's fur, and well- I mean it couldn't compare at all but it wasn't the worst thing I'd ever seen.
I scratched my nails softly against the nape of his neck and his scent suddenly came to me on the breeze.
He smelled...good, masculine and-
I shook my head and arched backwards to touch the ground with my hands as I clamped with my thighs and then threw him bodily with my powerful legs.
I drew my Chakrams and raised them defensively.
What was that sensation?
My inner panther stirred and raised its head, eyeing the man with interest.
I felt my eyes dilate and all my senses sharpen and hone in on him as I got low to the ground ready to pounce.
Nature had gripped my body and decided it was better suited to wielding it and I felt- willing to give in to it.
I spun with incredible agility and used the momentum to hurl the wicked blades after his flight.
I needed to end this quickly.

Before I knew it I was sent flying by Vexy “Little bitch getting the jump on me, but that is your fighting style isn’t it?!” I yelled as I was flying, turning my body in the air I looked in her direction only to see she had thrown her chakrams at me. I didn’t have enough time to block both, damn it, planting my feet I raised my shield to the right blocking the one that would have cut deep into my shoulder making it hard to raise my shield, letting the second chakram rip through my side leaving a nice clean cut through my clothes and side of my abdomen.

“I liked this outfit.” I began running toward her I knew I couldn’t let her come to me I had to take the fight to her. Roaring with courage I charged her axe and shield raised, once I was in range I threw my shield at her continuing after it “Let’s see if this actually works.” Allowing mana to seep into the bracelet I saw the chain connect to my shield and last minute I pulled it back to me raising my axe to swing at Vexy. “I can pull tricks too!”

"Well Clovis sounds like the fun has begun, so shall we get this started." With that I dashed at him blade in hand. It is nothing but a faint I won't break his guard on the first strike he is to good, I just have to evade his first blow then start looking for openings.

“You’re right the fun has begun.” Standing before he got to me I threw my spear into a nearby tree, I needed to know what he could do with that knife I knew it was his focus but I had no idea what it did, so stood there as he came at me.

I moved slightly to the left allowing his knife to graze my arm, and I could feel a small portion of my mana be drained so that’s his game. "You call that a feint?" I froze a flurry of punches aimed at his torso before attempting to round house kick him with enough force to move him.

I jumped back from his kick. He is unmatched in hand to hand according to his reputation. The best thing I can do is use hit and run tactics. I will stick to my original plan to wear him down. That first cut might not have fazed him but the more I can hit and the deeper the cuts and soon he will be singing a different tune.

Clovis

"Scared, Nile, can't fight me toe to toe? I mean it is only logical not to fight me in close range but if you run don't think I brought this bow and arrows for nothing, I will hunt you through this forest enjoying every second of it." It was depressing no one could fight me toe to toe they always had to come up with some tactic to try and throw me off not like it worked in the end for them anyway my precognition saw to that.

"You know, your body will tire out a lot faster than my will Nile, so dragging this fight out might not be to your advantage even with your knife being able to drain mana or whatever it did. Since you are going to try and keep your distance I will have to grab my spear from this tree." Walking over to the tree I pulled my spear out and pointed it at him "Your move again Nile, better make this a good one cause I am coming after you as soon as you move!"
